How the DNV income threshold works
Spain's Digital Nomad Visa requires applicants to prove monthly income equal to 200% of the Spanish minimum wage (SMI). The 2026 SMI is €1,221/month, paid 14 times per year, so the annualised threshold is €1,221 × 14 ÷ 12 × 2 = €2,849/month.
- •Solo applicant: ~€2,849/month
- •+ partner / spouse: additional 75% × SMI = €949/month
- •+ each dependent child: additional 25% × SMI = €317/month
Income from Spanish companies cannot exceed 20% of your total. Bank statements should show 3–6 months of consistent income above the threshold.
